Summary

Vaccinated patients with multiple myeloma and monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) face a significantly higher risk of breakthrough COVID-19 infections and severe disease compared to the general population. These findings suggest that both active malignancy and its precursor state impair vaccine response, highlighting a need for additional protective strategies in these patient populations.

Key result
