Breslow Thickness

Fillmore and his collaborators have examined the socioeconomic determinants of Breslow thickness in patients with cutaneous melanoma. His research demonstrates that neighborhood-level deprivation is independently associated with a higher risk of advanced tumor thickness at the time of diagnosis. These findings suggest that systemic socioeconomic factors contribute to delayed detection of melanoma, regardless of individual patient health characteristics.
