Fillmore utilizes large-scale cancer registries, including the VA Cancer Registry and the SEER program, to identify disparities in cancer incidence and outcomes among military veterans. His research demonstrates that veterans experience higher rates of advanced-stage melanoma and distinct patterns of primary brain tumor incidence compared to the general population. Additionally, he has contributed to the development of the Veterans Affairs Precision Oncology Data Repository to integrate clinical, genomic, and imaging data for translational research.
