Disease Staging
Fillmore has focused on the accuracy and accessibility of disease staging to improve cancer prognosis and risk stratification. His research identifies significant disparities in melanoma staging and sentinel lymph node biopsy utilization among veterans compared to the general population. Additionally, he has developed natural language processing tools to automate the extraction of multiple myeloma stages and created refined clinical models to better predict cancer associated thrombosis.
