Low-Resolution Histopathology

Fillmore and his collaborators have investigated the utility of low-resolution histopathology slide snapshots for prognostic modeling in non-small cell lung cancer. Their research demonstrates that transfer learning from high-resolution scans significantly enhances the accuracy of mortality predictions when high-resolution imaging is unavailable. This approach provides a scalable method for developing effective prognostic tools in clinical environments with limited imaging infrastructure.
