Fillmore and his collaborators investigate the risk and management of thromboembolic events within safety-net healthcare systems, where patients often face complex comorbidities. His work has characterized the incidence of arterial thromboembolism in this population and sought to refine the identification of high-risk patients through the validation of novel risk assessment scores and the integration of circulating tumor DNA markers.
