Transfer Learning

Fillmore has investigated the utility of transfer learning to enhance prognostic accuracy in non-small cell lung cancer. His research demonstrates that models pretrained on high-resolution histopathology scans significantly improve mortality predictions when only low-resolution slide snapshots are available. This work establishes a method for maintaining diagnostic performance in clinical environments where high-resolution imaging is inaccessible.
